Poetryzine Magazine presents the open call for the „Ossi Di Seppia” Poetry Prize
RULES OF PARTICIPATION:
Participation in this Prize-considered the most important in the field of UNPUBLISHED POETRY – continues to be completely FREE.
SECTION A – SINGLE POEM
Participants should send ONE SINGLE UNPUBLISHED TEXT, free in theme, choice of meter and number of lines, in a single copy.
SECTION B – SET OF POEMS
Participants should submit a minimum of THREE to a maximum of SEVEN unpublished poems, free in theme, choice of meter and number of lines, in single copy.
N. B. WE INVITE TO PARTICIPATE IN BOTH SECTIONS.
Texts published in printed form (single or anthology edition) are to be considered unpublished, even if they have an ISBN code, but they must not be bound by a still existing publishing contract.
Texts published online: blogs, personal or collective literary sites, Facebook, Twitter, etc. are to be considered unpublished.
Texts AWARDED in other contests are to be considered unpublished.
SUBMISSION EXCLUSIVELY VIA EMAIL
Participation is open to any author-living author of any nationality.
Texts in English, French, Spanish are also accepted, without a face-to-face translation, although welcome.
Foreign authors of languages other than those mentioned above are kindly invited to send the translated text(s) in English.
Poetic works must be received through the following way: via email no later than JANUARY 9 at midnight, in a single ATTACHMENT
to the following mailing address:
– The first page of the attachment should include: first name, last name, address, landline and/or mobile phone, possible e-mail address, optionally biobibliographical sheet and indicate which section(s) you are competing in.
In the Object of the electronic letter (the e-mail) please report which SECTION(s) you are participating in, in addition to your last name, in order to facilitate the IMMEDIATE forwarding – sending of the texts to the Jury.
Personal data will be strictly protected by the provisions of privacy legislation (Law December 31, 1996, No. 675 et seq.) and only for the purpose of the event.
The poems will be evaluated by a Jury of undisputed quality whose judgment is unquestionable: the judges will have the opportunity to read the texts almost simultaneously with the submission by each participant.
THE WORKS OF THE FIRST FOUR CLASSIFIED AUTHORS OF THE TWO SECTIONS WILL FORM AN ANTHOLOGY THAT WILL BE PUBLISHED AT THE EXCLUSIVE EXPENSE OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF TAGGIA.
The authors awarded Special Prizes by the Technical Jury will be awarded a certificate and/or parchment, which will be given on the day of the official ceremony (attendance should be confirmed) or sent to the e-mail address in PDF – JEPG format, if not physically present, since there is NO OBLIGATION to take part.
The same applies to the top four authors in both sections, who, if absent, will receive, by courier, the anthology copies at the indicated home address.
N.B. NON-ATTENDANCE AT THE AWARD CEREMONY DOES NOT INVALIDATE THE ACHIEVED RESULT.
All the PARTICIPANTS will receive official notification of the results.
The winning authors (THE FIRST 4 CLASSIFIED BY SECTION,) with publication rights, of the last three editions are excluded from participation.
The award ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, FEBRUARY 18, 2023 at 5:30 pm, at the historic Villa Boselli in Arma di Taggia.
