“Another Day Is Coming”: Irma Kurti’s Poetic Journey Through Love, Memory and Belonging

The poetry collection Another Day Is Coming by Albanian poet, writer, lyricist, journalist and translator Irma Kurti was published in July 2026 by Prolific Pulse Press LLC. In this intimate and emotionally resonant collection, Kurti explores love, absence, memory, loneliness and the enduring connection between people and the places they call home.

At the heart of Another Day Is Coming is a deeply human exploration of love in its many forms. Kurti moves effortlessly between moments of tenderness and joy and those marked by separation, longing and solitude. Her poetry often turns to nature as a reflection of the human soul: a park, falling leaves, a bench or a faded photograph can suddenly become powerful symbols of memory and loss.

The poems are grounded in the details of everyday life, yet they reach toward universal emotions. A photograph becomes a reminder of someone who is no longer present; silence becomes an expression of longing; and familiar landscapes preserve memories that time cannot erase. Through these images, Kurti creates a poetic space where personal experience becomes something readers can recognize as their own.

Another important dimension of the collection is the poet’s relationship with her parents and her homeland. Home is not simply a physical place in Kurti’s poetry. It is a repository of memories, affection and identity—a homeland carried within oneself even when one is far away.

This theme is particularly evident in the poem “Traveling,” where the poet describes the enduring presence of her roots:

«“They run through my body and spirit

They are transformed now into veins

They are a part of me.”»

These lines capture one of the central ideas of the collection: leaving home does not mean leaving behind the experiences and people who shaped us. The past continues to live within us, accompanying us wherever life takes us.

Kurti’s poetic voice is distinguished by its simplicity, tenderness and emotional honesty. Rather than relying on elaborate language, she allows intimate images and sincere emotions to carry the poems. Her work invites readers to pause and recognize the quiet experiences that often define human life—waiting, remembering, missing someone, dreaming and finding the strength to continue.

The response from readers and literary figures reflects the emotional impact of the collection. International poet Germain Droogenbroodt describes the poems as deeply moving and particularly relevant in an increasingly digital world, where genuine human warmth can sometimes seem absent. Dr. Barbaros Irdelmen highlights Kurti’s lyrical combination of nature and the human soul, while philologist and author Sofia Skleida describes the collection as a poetic embrace that transforms everyday feelings into lasting reflections on love, life and human fragility.
