Abdallah Gasmi, the organizer of the renowned World Virtual Poetry Forum, is pleased to announce an open call for submissions for the 2024 edition of the forum. Each year, this international event brings together poets from across the globe to share their voices on a chosen theme, fostering creative expression and cultural exchange. In 2023, the forum set a remarkable record with 670 participants, underscoring its significance as a global platform for poetry. Out of these, the best 150 poets are carefully selected and featured in a published anthology, cementing their place in the literary world.
The themes in past editions have included powerful topics such as peace, love, and, most recently, women. For 2024, the theme will be "Freedom" — a concept that resonates deeply in every culture and speaks to the universal human experience. Poets are invited to explore this theme in all its dimensions, whether personal, political, spiritual, or societal, providing their unique interpretations through the art of verse.
This is an incredible opportunity for poets to connect with a diverse audience, contribute to a global dialogue, and potentially have their work published in the annual anthology. Abdallah Gasmi and his team are excited to see how participants will express the idea of freedom through their poetry in this year's forum.
The call for submissions is now open, and poets from all backgrounds and levels of experience are encouraged to participate. Don’t miss the chance to be part of this extraordinary global event celebrating the power of poetry!
