Carrion Vasti: “Abandonment” and other poems

Poetryzine Magazine presents the selected poems by the American poetess Carrion Vasti

Carrion Vasti

Abandonment When love began to abandon the world, Leaves began to loose mold, Drowning in white cotton snow, With only brittle branches left to bestow, A memory of its old form. And gradient darkness devouring life forms, Puncturing holes on anything to behold, Leaving ghostly empty-ness to impale every soul.

Cactus Tear Some of us can't cry, Our tears remain desert dry Everytime we try, With pain sprouting cacti, Its thorns breaking through hardened souls, An oasis of tears begins brimming forth, Renewing hearts Cascading new paths, Life seems soothe again for some time.

The Smile as the hair became brittle, the smile was brighter, with hair losing vibrancy, the smile became prouder.

*Vasti Carrion (and pen name: Acton Bell) has been a published poet since the age of 17 years. She's a contributor to six poetry anthologies and lives in Los Angeles, CA. Her hobbies are drawing, painting and writing stories.
